    Ard invests in companies that are facing demanding situations, yet where there is clear value development potential.

    Few, if any, in Norway have the same target segment for company acquisitions as us, and this gives Ard a unique investment and operating concept. The current economic instability on world markets makes it likely that there will be further interesting projects within our segment in the future. Our present investments are considered less susceptible to the financial turbulence currently shaking the market, as we are primarily exposed within sectors that are less affected by the present upheaval (oil and gas, hydroelectric power, health and property).

    The Ard Group has almost 1500 employees and turnover in 2014 is expected to be approximately NOK 2,4 billion. Read more about our business approach here.

     

  • Our portfolio

    Our portfolio comprises companies in different business areas that all have the potential to be leaders in a defined segment following a turnaround process. 

    Our ambition is to implement fast and effective turnarounds aimed at achieving a positive cash flow in the company within 12 months of takeover.

    Ard is not sector oriented. Today, our portfolio comprises companies in the following business areas: hydroelectric power and renewable energy, the oil and gas industry, land-based projects, property, business support, health foods and fishing gear.
